This Privacy Policy applies to the FreshMemo app (the "Application"), provided by TINGQIANG TUO (the "Service Provider").
Data Stored on Your Devices
Your item records and saved photos are stored on your devices and, if you enable iCloud, in your private iCloud account. The Service Provider does not operate servers that store this content and cannot access your private iCloud data.
AI-Powered Recognition
When you use photo recognition, text is extracted from the image locally on your device. The original image is not sent to the AI service.
Only the extracted text is transmitted to an AI processing service to identify item information, such as the item name, dates, and category. The text is used only to process your current recognition request. The Service Provider does not store the extracted text or the AI response on its own servers, or use them for advertising, marketing, tracking, or analytics.
Any AI service provider that processes the extracted text is required to use it only to provide the recognition feature and to protect it in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. Processing by the AI service, including any temporary retention necessary to provide and secure the service, is subject to the provider's data-processing terms.
Data We Do Not Collect
FreshMemo does not require an account and does not collect:
- IP addresses
- usage duration or activity history
- device or operating system information
- precise or approximate location
- contact information or other personal identifiers
- advertising or tracking data
The Service Provider does not sell your data, send marketing communications, or share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. The extracted-text processing described above is the only data transmission initiated by the Application.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your item records and photos remain on your devices and in your private iCloud account until you delete them. You can delete individual records in the Application and manage or delete your iCloud data through your Apple account and device settings.
The Service Provider does not retain a server-side copy of your item records, photos, extracted text, or AI recognition results. You can stop future AI processing by not using the photo-recognition feature.
Contacting Support
If you contact the Service Provider by email, your email address and the information you choose to include will be used only to respond to your request. It will not be used for marketing. You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting [email protected].
Children's Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, please contact the Service Provider so that it can be deleted.
Security
FreshMemo minimizes data transmission by keeping images, item records, and saved photos on your devices and in your private iCloud account. Only the extracted text needed for the recognition request is transmitted to the AI service.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the Application's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
